Meet Dr. Hansen
Dr. Hansen completed dental school at University of Nevada, Las Vegas and finished her periodontal training in Augusta, GA at the Georgia Regents University. During her residency, she had the opportunity to work at the Charlie Norwood VA hospital and truly values the knowledge she gained from working with such a diverse and often times medically complex patient population.
She was recently awarded 1st place in the Clinical Research Category of the 2014 Billy Pennel Competition for her research project Allogenic Mesenchymal Stem Cells with and without platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) for ridge augmentation procedures. Dr. Hansen also has a manuscript that has been approved for publication in the journal Implant Dentistry titled, Implant Supported Fixed Prosthesis in a hypohidritotic ectodermal Dysplasia Patient: A case report with three years follow up and review of the literature.
Dr. Hansen is a professional member to the following organizations: American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Georgia Society of Periodontology, Southern Academy of Periodontology and will soon be awarded her fellowship in the International Consort of Oral Implantology (ICOI) academy. Dr. Hansen looks forward to continuing her volunteer service through clinics in Fort Collins and also being involved in local Study Clubs.
Dr. Hansen is extremely excited about being in Fort Collins as her passion is not only treating patients but also being outdoors as much as possible. She loves running competitively and recreationally, biking, hiking, camping, and snowboarding. She is looking forward to calling Fort Collins home.
